Unproductive

Right now I should be cleaning up after our weekend whirlwind and getting things ready to fly away on Thursday. But I'm just so nauseous that the couch keeps calling my name. I'm looking forward to seeing if the second trimester will lighten these feelings. With Henry's pregnancy it did not, but this one has already been comparatively much better.
outside
We'll have to be at the airport at 5 am this time and we get the joy of taking Henry on three different flights (one of those flights I'll be on alone with Henry as Brian detours through Nebraska since our only options this time around were crazy). I have flown with him twice before sans Brian, but that was before he could crawl. So I am thankful to have Brian with me this time, especially feeling so nauseous.
Trains
Here is Henry playing with Brian's cousins on Saturday. I was so happy that he got right in there and played trains with them, and they were really good to him even when he would try to wreck it all.

Family Picture

Family Picture
I just wanted to share a family picture with you since it seems like we haven't had many together in the past few months. We went to Chicago on Friday evening and stayed with some friends that Brian went to college with. It was my first experience with Lou Malnati's pizza. I wish I had a picture of it, it was my favorite pizza. Ever.

The next day we travelled even further north to a family reunion at Brian's Grandmother's house, which is where this picture was taken. Love our little in flannel.

Back last night so we could go to church this morning and an event that happened this evening at the Apollo Theatre in downtown Peoria. A friend organized a showing of the documentary called "At The End of Slavery" by International Justice Mission. We spoke for a few minutes about the store, but I was really nauseous so my lovely husband rushed out to get me some fuel (subway). Craving the weirdest things, I never eat at Subway.

Four is the New Three

I had a hunch, bought the test. I didn't tell Brian I was buying one as I ran into the store to pick up something else while he waited in the car with Henry. I took it as soon as we got home while they played in the living room, and I brought it out to him as the line started to get darker. "Do you think this is positive?" I asked him. I think he was pretty shocked since this is the first he had heard of my even having this hunch. We watched together as the line got darker and darker. Pregnant!
Positive
This time around has been very different. About five minutes after realizing I had a little bean in me, I felt so incredibly guilty for the fact that Henry was going to have to share our love with another child. But that quickly faded as I realized that he is going to have the chance to be a great big brother, and will have a play mate so close in age. (He will be 18 months when the new little arrives.)

We waited a while to tell anyone, although I kept spilling the beans to a couple people (with good reasons, like switching doctor advice, a dental assistant who happen to be a friend etc.) and we told our families a month later. Plus we've been so busy with this guy I haven't really had time to dwell on it for long.
