I can keep a secret, but I have to use all of my energy to remind myself not to blurt something out. It was a good thing that we decided to do a surprise party for Brian just this past Monday because I wouldn't have been able to hold it in for much longer. I just get so excited! I really wanted to call and shout "I got a piñata!" that afternoon.
But it was well kept and Brian thought we were going out to dinner and at the last minute had to go pick up his mom. He was anxious to leave so I had a difficult time stalling but it was a success and he was really surprised. Many of our friends have babies, toddlers, and up so it was quite chaotic which made Henry feel on edge. So I don't have any pictures of pretty much the whole party, except the end when everyone had gone and Brian opened presents from family. Brian's brother shot these photos.

Henry and I gave him his present earlier in the week. His favorite game, Civilization, just came out with a new version. I was worried that if we didn't go get it sooner than later that he would! My version of wrapping paper was texting him these pictures at work.
Happy Birthday Brian! I am so lucky to have you for a husband and our boys have an amazing dad.
