Indie Year Update

So I've been thinking. I think I will temporarily discontinue my Indie Year posts. I'll definitely continue with my efforts, and I'll post every now and then if I feel like an outfit or purchase is especially relevant. However, I really want to guard against being "all about me" in an "all about me" society. I'm still marinating in my thoughts, so I'm not sure what will become of it. But I'll let you know if I resume it. Not that it was anything big anyway, like three posts!

In the meantime. Here is someone else who dresses much more intriguing than I do, and her outfit is almost entirely thrifted or hand-me-down-ed. Rock it girl.

"Cropped vest: no label (thrifted)
Blouse (purple crushed velvet, by the way): I.O.T. Div. of Fashion Ave. Knits (thrifted)
Belt: no label (vintage/it was my Mum's during the 1960's)
Skirt: there's a label with Arabic writing on it, as well as "Maskrit Israel." On the skirt itself, a signature "Gideon Oberson" appears in one corner, and the initials HK are also featured, so who knows? (vintage/purchased from www.plaidponyvintage.com/ )
Tights: Hanna Andersson
Shoes: Auditions (vintage/thrifted)"
